Facial Treatments

A facial cleans, exfoliates and nourishes the skin to promote clear, well-hydrated skin. A facial is the second most popular spa treatment after massage.

What to expect

Clean:
it is best that you DO NOT wear any make-up to your appointment.
First we use a gentle cleanser on your face in order to remove any dead skin cells. Next, the massage A facial massage is not only relaxing but they get the blood flowing. Most facial massages last ten to fifteen minutes.

Steam:
Steaming your skin does several things. First of all, it makes your skin softer and secondly, it brings blackheads to the surface which make extracting them that much easier. Steaming also stimulates the circulation and obviously, makes you sweat, which makes it that much easier to remove dirt.

Extractions:
When a pore is clogged, it appears larger.
When pours are cleaned and the blackheads are extracted they recoil and look smaller.
Once all of the blackheads are removed, we apply a soothing antiseptic lotion.

Mask & Moisturize:
The type of mask will be based on your skin type.
Finally, we apply a moisturizer. If you have really dry skin, you may receive another short facial massage.

Seaweed:
Applying seaweed to the skin can help open the pores of the skin, allowing the minerals and vitamins from the seaweed to enter and moisturize, tone and oxygenate the skin. Applying seaweed to the skin as part of a face mask can help regenerate skin cells, soothe skin inflammations and irritations, stimulate blood flow near the surface of the skin to help make skin smoother and more supple, and increase metabolism to burn fat faster.

Clay:
Clay is a popular ingredient in facial masks because it works two ways. First, as the clay dries, it draws out toxins and other impurities from the skin. At the same time, the minerals in the clay are absorbed by the skin.
The result is that debris is pulled out, pores and hair follicles are cleared, skin is exfoliated and it's left looking truly refreshed and with a younger, healthy glow.

Paraffin:
Paraffin wax has been used in holistic medicine since the times of the Roman Empire. It is known for it's ability to clean your pores, reduce wrinkles, moisturize your face and relax you. The process involves covering your face with a protective gauze mask. Brushing warm paraffin wax over the gauze. The gauze will prevent the wax from burning your skin but will also allow the nutrients and heat to work its magic. When the wax dries the gauze is pulled away and your wax remnants are washed away.
